The Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR) is the Scientific Society that brings together more than 5,300 respiratory health professionals in Spain, that is, practically all pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons and Respiratory Nursing and Physiotherapy, along with others national and foreign specialists, with common interests. Its objective is to work on scientific projects that advance pulmonology and thoracic surgery and carry out initiatives on respiratory health that have a positive impact on society.
Every year more than 50 young specialists join SEPAR who believe that the relevance of respiratory diseases deserves special attention and put all their efforts into following in the footsteps of their predecessors in advancing scientific knowledge, increasing quality assistance and in the informative capacity of all those key factors for the prevention of respiratory health.
SEPAR is interconnected with Respira. Spanish Lung Foundation (SEPAR). Both institutions maintain an equivalent functional and structural interdependence.
